ACDO Studio and Residence

Housed within a heritage property, the ACDO studio occupies the main levels of a building where work and life exist in deliberate proximity – the principal’s residence above, the creative engine below. It is a considered arrangement, one that speaks to the blurring of boundaries between the professional and the personal.

The studio was conceived as an incubator for ideas. Custom furniture and bespoke millwork structure the space around the rituals of collaboration – meetings, presentations, the handling of materials – while never sacrificing ease. The palette is restrained and intentional: micro cement, Venetian plaster, and timber wall panelling form a tactile, tonal backdrop that recedes gracefully, allowing the work – and the people doing it – to take centre stage.

Utilitarian in spirit, but far from austere, the space holds a rare duality: it is at once a canvas for creativity and a sanctuary for thought.
