A Toronto laneway, reconsidered with quiet conviction. Hardened urban surfaces yield to natural materiality, softening the city’s edge with an ease that feels both considered and inevitable. The renovation operates on two registers simultaneously: a seamless dissolution of inside and out, and a deliberate amplification of the drama inherent in a sweeping glazed envelope that commands the building's façade.

On the ground floor, a wood-clad bath and coat closet occupy the plan’s centre of gravity – a sculptural intervention that negotiates between living, kitchen and stair without ever raising its voice. Above, acoustic timber panels compose the ceiling in rhythmic sequence, absorbing the rawness of the industrial loft while tracing the full depth of the property in a single, unbroken gesture.
